The Role of Occupational Medicine Services in Improving Workplace Health 
 
The working environment has undergone an enormous change in recent years. Modern working environments and conditions have given rise to a number of health concerns for the working population. There is an increased demand for industries and businesses to ensure better working standards and protection for their employees.  This session will outline the benefits of proper implementation of occupational health or occupational medicine in the workplace. 
 
Presenter: Dr. Scott Riester is an occupational medicine physician who specializes in workplace health and safety. Although he spends much of his time treating injured workers, his greatest passion is developing strategies and interventions to prevent injuries from occurring. Over the past several years Dr. Riester has worked with numerous companies and organization throughout Minnesota to develop strategies aimed at improving total worker health.
